I’m 22 years old, I’ve lived in Niagara falls for almost a decade, and I’m running for City Council because it’s time to give our generation a real seat at the decision-making table. Traditional politics is completely obsessed with short-term, band-aid fixes that only look to the next election cycle. I'm running because I'm focused on the big picture—building a city where we can actually afford to plant roots, raise families, and thrive for the next 40 years.

My work ethic started early, out of necessity and passion. At 15, I stepped into my first professional kitchen. For the last seven years, I’ve been grinding in the high-pressure, fast-paced upscale culinary industry. If you’ve ever worked a busy dinner service, you know it leaves absolutely no room for excuses. It taught me how to coordinate chaotic logistics, lead diverse teams under intense stress, and outwork the status quo to execute at a high standard. I don’t just talk about hard work; I’ve lived it every single day for nearly a decade.

That drive and sense of responsibility come straight from my roots. Growing up in a close-knit Canadian-Trinidadian family, my upbringing was built on the core values of hospitality, deep community connection, and actively looking out for the people around you. My family taught me that if you notice a system is broken and you have the energy to fix it, you don't just sit on the sidelines complaining—you step up and do something about it.

Right now, our city is growing rapidly, but our leadership isn't planning for our future. I’m bringing that exact same high-energy, detail-oriented approach to City Hall to tackle the critical issues hitting our neighborhoods the hardest:

• Housing & Industry: We are losing our brightest minds because young workers and families are being priced out of their own neighborhoods. I will advocate for smart, modern zoning models and affordable housing strategies, while actively pushing to attract sustainable, forward-thinking industries that create long-term local careers.

• Transit, Traffic & Light Rail: Our infrastructure is buckling under the weight of modern gridlock. I am championing progressive, future-focused transit solutions, including light rail transit connectivity and smart traffic management, to seamlessly link our communities and cut down daily commute times.

• Community Health & Homelessness: True public safety requires compassion mixed with decisive action. I am committed to partnering directly with regional services to expand local mental health resources, invest in actionable drug prevention and treatment programs, and aggressively confront the root causes of homelessness on our streets.

I’m not here to coast on empty political promises. I’m here to put my head down, do the groundwork, and build a vibrant, safe, and sustainable future for all of us. Let's get to work.
